INTERMITTENT CLASS

Your child can be integrated into our kindergarten, elementary, or middle school classes on a flexible, day-by-day basis, Monday through Friday (excluding school holidays). This allows for unlimited enrollment in morning, afternoon, or full-day sessions.

  • Session Options and Fees:
  • Morning Session (8:30 AM - 12:00 PM): ¥5,500
  • Afternoon Session (12:00 PM - 3:30 PM): ¥5,500
  • Full-Day Session (8:30 AM - 3:30 PM): ¥8,800

  • Engaging Activities: Your child will participate in a variety of activities led by certified teachers, aligned with the French Ministry of Education's curriculum and inquiry-based learning principles.
  • Social Interaction: Intermittent classes offer opportunities to interact with other students.
  • School Experience: This is a great way to experience our school environment before enrolling in a full-time programs


  • Rules and regulations:
  • Payment: Fees are due before each term of intermittent classes, including additional services like cafeteria, school bus, after-school programs, and extensions.
  • Flexibility: You can choose to enroll your child in intermittent classes on a regular or occasional basis.
  • Childcare and After-School Programs: Before or after intermittent classes, you may enroll your child in our childcare and/or after-school programs.
  • Trial Day: New students are eligible for a trial day.
  • Wednesday Schedule: On Wednesdays, intermittent classes are held only in the morning. Afternoon options include childcare and after-school activities.
  • No Admission Fees: There are no additional fees for enrollment.
  • Schedule Adherence: Please adhere to the selected schedule (morning, afternoon, or full-day) to avoid disrupting regular classes.


🔴 Intermittent class service requires reservation and advance payment via this form. Once you have applied, the Administration office will send you a confirmation email. Changes and cancellations to the chosen schedule and services (school bus, school lunch, and after school) can only be accepted within 3 days after having received the reservation confirmation email.

In the event of your child's absence or cancellation for any reason whatsoever on one or more reserved days, refunds or makeup will not be possible, except in those two cases:


- Infectious disease: a makeup is offered within the current academic year (September to June).

  A. Covid-19 infection, or close contact designated by the school or health center:

    1- Please submit a positive official test result.

    2- If your child is designated as a contact infected person by the health center, submit an official document or oath.

    3- If your child is designated as a contact person by the school, no document is required.

  B. Other infectious diseases:

    1- Submit a certificate from a medical doctor.

    2- Submit an attending permission document written by a medical doctor when returning to school.

- Natural disaster, and other cases of school exceptional closure: a makeup is offered within the current academic year (September to June).


Please note that in case of a makeup day, rescheduling the school bus service is possible only depending on availability, while it is not possible to reschedule a school lunch. Thank you for your understanding.

Monthly scholarships : EIFJ (Nishigaoka campus) is a “ninkagai” type institution that has been issued a Certificate of compliance by the Tokyo Metropolitan Government, allowing French, international, Japanese or mixed families of children aged 3 to 6 to receive scholarships of 37,000 yen per month. Furthermore, since January 2024, families can receive additional scholarships ranging from 20,000 yen to 60,000 yen per month, depending on your municipality.
