The coach is a 2nd degree black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and a member of the internationally renowned Gracie Barra team. He has been practicing jiu-jitsu since 2004. He also holds a black belt in judo, and has taken part in numerous tournaments in Europe, Asia and the Americas.
Brazilian jiu-jitsu is a self-defence, martial art and combat sport based on grappling, ground fighting, and submission holds. Jiu-jitsu approaches self-defense by emphasizing taking an opponent to the ground, gaining a dominant position, and using a number of techniques to force them into submission via joint locks or chocking.
Judo is a modern Japanese martial art, with the objective of throwing an opponent, immobilize them with a pin, or force an opponent to submit with a joint lock or a choke.
